Christer Ugglin - Drums

Christer was placed behind the drums in Soniq Circus at the beginning of the new millennium, mostly because he had the age to shop at the "Systembolaget", the well known Swedish drugstore :).

He started his career as a guitar player in the mid eighties, but with the smooth touch of an elephant he did realize that he had to have larger things to hit to get it right, so he begged his father to purchase a small drum set, and maybe his father has, but Christer has never regret his choice for one second.

To get started he forced a friend to start playing guitar, and boy was he bad, and they formed a band named Black Star with the only achievement that they got bullied by their other friends. After a few loooong years he started to play in a real band, with really good musicians and in spite the fact that they played together for a hundred years, or something, they never bothered to get a name. After that he wanted to earn some money so he joined a band who only played covers. During that period Christer was forced to play his first public drum solo, thank goodness that this was before MP3-player and MD-player, so we just has to believe Christer when he says that it sounded awesome!

In 1995 Christer formed a band together with 3 guys from Lund, Sweden, by the name of Wonderland Zoo, and they started out as a straight party-hard-rock act, but after a few changes in the line-up they started to get more and more progressive and heavy. But when people started to move from Lund, Which is a university town, the band just died, sadly.

Then the former bass player in Sonic Circus, Ambjörn Furenhed, gave him a call and wanted him to give it a shot - and he did!.
